The annual YWCA Purse & Passion luncheon was a great event, and we had a wonderful time. Here are some photos of the event for you to enjoy.

YWCA Purse & Passion Luncheon Silent Auction Pieces

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

One of our favorite events each year is the YWCA Purse & Passion Luncheon held each spring. It is a GREAT event that is wonderful for ladies (in the fact that they get to bid on lovely purses and accessories both by raffle and silent auction along with eating a delicious lunch) but it also goes for a great cause … to help prevent domestic violence (and to help those that are victims of it).

We donated a set of jewelry for the silent auction to help raise money for the YWCA, and we are excited about attending the event today.

This set will go with just about anything, and it is made with Swarovski pearls and sterling silver. We are glad to help out the YWCA with its fundraiser this year!!

Purity Earrings, Bracelet and Necklace

Friday, April 16th, 2010

I was asked by my church to design some purity jewelry for an upcoming conference they have for teen girls and their mothers on Saturday, and of course, I was happy to do so! The Purity Bracelet is a staple in our collection, yet the Purity Earrings and Purity Necklace were specially designed for the conference.

Each part has special meaning … the pearls are white and symbolize the commitment to purity. The crystals are clear and symbolize clean living and allowing others to see Christ clearly in you. The sterling symbolizes that although the world can try to “tarnish” us, God can fully cleanse us and make us shine!!

The purity earrings are available for $10 a pair and are designed with Swarovski pearls, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver.

The dangle of the purity necklace is designed using sterling silver and Swarovski crystals and pearls.

The chain is sterling silver, and the necklace features a charm that says “purity”. This is available for $32.

Our purity bracelet is also designed with sterling and Swarovski with a “purity” charm, and it is specially priced at $22 for the conference.

Please email us if you are interested in purchasing one of the pieces in our purity collection. The designs are also available without charms if you so desire. Thanks again for stopping by!

Nepal Trip Update

Many of you have been asking when I would be updating my blog, and I am sorry that it has taken so long! :)  Things have been very busy at The Bauble Market … with Thanksgiving, Christmas and then my Nepal trip, the past few months have seemed like a whirlwind.

The trip to Nepal was wonderful, and a highlight for me was being able to meet the five girls that are able to be sponsored because of all of the faithful customers of The Bauble Market!  These girls are clothed, educated and can go to school because of the donations we are able to make.  It is very exciting, and I really enjoyed meeting them.

The sponsorship organization is called Allow the Children, and their web address is www.allowthechildren.org .  I encourage you to check them out and see all of the good things they are doing in both Nepal and Burundi, Africa.

Thank you all for being so wonderful, and I am excited about what the future holds for these girls! :)

Oh and as a total sidebar … my appearance is explained by the lack of electricity (No hairdryer … etc.  It does not bother me over there, but it does make me cringe when I view my photos! :) ).

Bauble Market Helps Around The World

Again, I want to introduce you to another little 11 year old girl in Nepal that The Bauble Market is able to support because of all of our faithful customers.  Maya Praja is in class 6 in school, and she would not be able to attend school without the aid that The Bauble Market sends through an organization called Allow the Children (check them out at www.allowthechildren.org or see me at http://www.allowthechildren.org/about/prince.asp).

The Bauble Market is able to support five girls who live in a very remote area of Nepal.  Thank you to all of you who have made that possible … in fact, Maya Praja and I thank you!

Helping Others Around the World

mch-21-small.jpg

Meet Rita Maya Praja, a 13 year old girl who lives at the Maranatha Children’s Home in Chitwan,  Nepal.  Rita has several brothers and sisters, but her father is a poor, uneducated Nepali farmer.  There would be no hope of Rita being able to continue in school if she were not recently taken in by the Maranatha Children’s Home.

This past January/February, my eight year old daughter, Aubrey, and I had the opportunity to take a missions trip to Nepal.  It was a wonderful experience, and it was the perfect place to take Aubrey since we were visiting children’s homes.

Our family sponsors a few children in Nepal, but I also wanted The Bauble Market to have an opportunity to help some children out there.  The organization that we traveled with was Allow the Children (check them out at www.allowthechildren.org), and I decided that The Bauble Market could take on 5 children to sponsor.  The Bauble Market is able to provide clothing, schooling, food and shelter for 5 girls on the other side of the world, which is so exciting!

I am looking forward to introducing you to each and every one of these girls over the next few months, and I hope they touch your hearts as much as they have mine.  You too can sponsor a child and make a difference across the sea.  Contact Allow the Children today!
