The annual YWCA Purse & Passion luncheon was a great event, and we had a wonderful time. Here are some photos of the event for you to enjoy.

YWCA Purse & Passion Luncheon Silent Auction Pieces

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

One of our favorite events each year is the YWCA Purse & Passion Luncheon held each spring. It is a GREAT event that is wonderful for ladies (in the fact that they get to bid on lovely purses and accessories both by raffle and silent auction along with eating a delicious lunch) but it also goes for a great cause … to help prevent domestic violence (and to help those that are victims of it).

We donated a set of jewelry for the silent auction to help raise money for the YWCA, and we are excited about attending the event today.

This set will go with just about anything, and it is made with Swarovski pearls and sterling silver. We are glad to help out the YWCA with its fundraiser this year!!

Holiday Stop & Shop

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

In early December, I participated in a Holiday Stop & Shop that benefitted the Family Alliance here in Central Virginia.  It was a fun day of meeting new customers and networking with other vendors while supporting a great cause! Here is their website for more information … www.familyalliance1.org, and enjoy some of the photos from the event.

My daughter helped me with the event, and she took this photo for me.

Here are some of the pieces I had for sale including lots of earrings.  All of the pieces I had on display were made with vintage beads and are one of a kind.

img_8211.JPG Necklaces and bracelets are always good choices for gifts, and I enjoy providing a variety of colors and styles for customers to choose from.

I had given away a $50 gift certificate in Stone Blue Productions 12 Days of Christmas contest (www.stoneblueproductions.com), and the winner (sweet Lindsay Marie) came and used her gift certificate. She was looking for something red for a Christmas party, and she wore her set that evening. It was fun to meet her at the event.

We here at The Bauble Market wish you a very Merry Christmas, and we hope that you enjoy spending time with friends and family as you celebrate Christ’s birth.

Dickens of a Christmas in Downtown Roanoke

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

I have always wanted to set up on the market in downtown Roanoke, VA, and their Dickens of a Christmas celebration was the perfect time. They had food, family fun, a parade, vendors and more … it was so much fun (although we FROZE outside for 6 hours … meeting the people on the market made it all worthwhile, though).  Here are some photos from this fun event that took place on Friday, December 11 from 6pm-10pm.

img_8203.JPG Here I am all set up outside at the Historic Downtown Market in Roanoke, VA.  It was SO cold!!

img_8206.jpg

Real men aren’t afraid to be out in the cold helping their wives sell jewelry (and allowing her to take potty breaks and fetching things like hot chocolate and yummy spinach, tomato and blue cheese pizza from her favorite bakery … thank you sweetie!!).

Here I am donning 5 layers of clothes, but I was happy … it was a fun night!

Bauble “Market Party” is a Great Place to Gather with Friends and Make Jewelry!

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

Are you looking for a great way to get together with friends, and do something truly different?  Then try being a planner for a Bauble Market Party.  They are a lot of fun, and it is a great way to guarantee that everyone goes home with something that they love!

It is very simple to have a Bauble Market Party … all you have to do is provide the space (and some light refreshments, if you would like), and we do the rest.  We bring the beads and all of the tools along with the expertise that will help everyone create a masterpiece that they will be delighted to wear.

The hostess benefits are wonderful, too, which include percentages off and multiple 1/2 price items based on the amount of sales at the show.  It is a win-win situation for everyone!

E-mail us at info@baublemarket.com for more information via e-mail, or send us your address so that you can receive information through the mail (or call us at 434.851.2224)  Thank you so much for the positive response to our ads in Bella magazine for our Market Parties … we are excited to be meeting some of you soon to have a party.

We are so excited about the “Something Blue, Bridal Affair” that is coming up soon.  Come and visit us at the Craddock Terry Hotel in downtown Lynchburg for the Bridal Affair, which is from 11am until 2pm on Saturday, March 29th in the Granite Ballroom.

Soiree is a new venture here in Lynchburg, and this new magazine will make its debut at the Something Blue, Bridal Affair.  I, personally, am so excited about it because I had the chance to write an article about my life as a wife and mom.

Anyway, I would love to meet you, so please come out and visit, so I hope to see you on the 29th of March. ~Jennifer

Ragan and Joel were married yesterday (November 10th), and Ragan wore a rendition of the “Trudie Necklace”.  I made it in gold (instead of silver) with ivory pearls, took out the spacers, and made it more graduated than the “Trudie” … just a sampling of what I can do through custom ordering!

Ragan also wore ivory pearl and gold earrings that were designed especially for her.  I wish Joel and Ragan a lifetime of happiness … congratulations!

On Saturday, November 3rd, The Bauble Market had its first “Market Party”, and it was a huge success for both The Bauble Market and the hostesses, Kim and her mother-in-law, Peggy.

Ladies were able to design and make their own jewelry using sterling silver and beads made out of glass, natural materials, Swarovski crystal and even beads from our precious vintage collection.  Many made gifts for others, but they were all sure to treat themselves to a little something, too!

If you are interested in scheduling a Market Party, just contact us at info@baublemarket.com for more information.  You and your friends will have a great time … complete with discounts and other perks for the hostess.  Thank you, Kim and Peggy, for being my first hostesses and for making the event so much fun!

Jewelry at the Lake

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

bauble-jewelry-016-small.jpg

Saturday, I had the opportunity to set up at the lake, and I wanted to share my display.  I never know what it will turn out like, but I normally gather fun items from around my house to display jewelry on … NOT having jewelry display pieces (neck forms, earring trees … etc.) is becoming my trademark .

I had a lot of fun meeting other artists (mostly “real” artists who have work that you hang on your walls, not around your neck), and we beat the heat together.
